Ruling People Power Party(PPP) floor leader Choo Kyung-ho said Thursday that President Yoon Suk Yeol's public address and press conference was candid and straightforward.

Choo added that Yoon "humbly apologized", acknowledging that causing concerns to the public was entirely his fault and a result of his shortcomings.

He also positively assessed Yoon's "sincere" explanations regarding various controversies and suspicions surrounding his wife.

Addressing whether the president had responded to the demands made by PPP leader Han Dong-hoon, which included an apology and personnel reform, Choo said that Yoon had "sincerely addressed" many of the demands and concerns raised by the public.

Responding to the main opposition Democratic Party's(DP) criticism that Yoon was solely focused on protecting First Lady Kim Keon-hee, Choo slammed the party, saying it has never given a single positive evaluation.
