The military and Seoul city conducted on Thursday a joint security drill to be prepared for North Korea’s acts of terror involving drones that target the South Korean capital.

According to the Army’s 52nd Infantry Division, the drill saw the participation of some 190 personnel from five military units, including the infantry division and a task force of the Capital Defense Command, as well as from the Seoul Seocho Police Station and the Seocho Fire Station.

The exercise was conducted at key air defense garrisons in Seoul under the simulation of being targets of unidentified drone attacks.

An officer of the infantry division said that based on Thursday’s exercise, the division will work with nearby units to improve operation plans and further boost combined defense capability and preparedness for invasions.
