President Yoon Suk Yeol will convene an emergency economy and security meeting at the top office on Sunday to discuss possible changes to U.S. policy as Donald Trump is set to return to the White House.  

The presidential office said Friday that the meeting’s purpose is to examine how policies might change under the Trump administration, consider the implications for South Korea and devise preemptive responses. 

The finance minister and the heads of ministries concerned with the economy and security will attend the meeting, along with presidential chief of staff Chung Jin-suk and other presidential secretaries.
