A large delegation representing Czech power authorities will make a two-week visit to South Korea for working-level negotiations ahead of the conclusion of a final contract for the Czech nuclear power plant project.
Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power(KHNP), which was selected in July as the preferred bidder to build two nuclear reactors for the Czech Republic’s Dukovany power plant, said the delegation will visit South Korea from Monday through November 22.
The delegation comprises about 60 officials, including Tomáš Pleskač, a member of the board and director of the new energy division of the Czech power company CEZ; and Petr Závodský, CEO of Elektrárna Dukovany II.
Elektrárna Dukovany II, or EDU II, is a subsidiary of CEZ that was created solely to carry out the nuclear power plant project.
The delegation reportedly plans to visit the KHNP headquarters, a nuclear power plant in Ulsan, and Doosan Enerbility’s Changwon plant to observe South Korean nuclear power plants in action.
