The head of the panel that devised the college entrance exam said this year’s test excluded so-called killer questions.

Choe Joong-chul, chief of the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) committee, made the statement Thursday in a press briefing, saying this year’s questions maintained an appropriate level of difficulty.

Choe said in drafting the test questions, the committee ensured that the test properly assesses students’ knowledge based on content covered in the public education curriculum.

The chief said the questions focus on core and basic content, reflecting the committee’s efforts to normalize high school education.

For elective subjects, he said the committee tried to ensure a balance of difficulty levels for different subjects to minimize any advantages or disadvantages from selecting particular electives.
