The South Korean military said on Sunday that North Korea has attempted to disrupt GPS signals in the inter-Korean border areas for the tenth straight day.

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), GPS jamming was detected in the northern part of Gangwon Province early Sunday morning.

North Korea has been attempting to jam the South's GPS signals every day since November 8.

The jamming was restricted to the northwestern islands in the first few days before spreading to the northern parts of Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces last Thursday.

The military said that the jamming appears to be a North Korean military exercise in response to the possible appearance of drones.
