The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine says it will close after getting information about a potential attack.

In a statement released on its website, the embassy in Kyiv said it received information on Wednesday about the possibility of a significant air attack.

The statement added that “out of an abundance of caution, the embassy will be closed, and embassy employees are being instructed to shelter in place.”

It also said “the U.S. Embassy recommends U.S. citizens be prepared to immediately shelter in the event an air alert is announced.”
