Financial and economic experts have identified household debt and policy changes after the U.S. presidential election as major risk factors for South Korea’s financial system.

The Bank of Korea(BOK) released the results of a survey on Thursday in which those concerns were paramount.

Other domestic risks mentioned by respondents included a sluggish economic recovery and demographic changes such as the aging population.

External risks also included the prioritization of national interests in the economic policies of major economies.

The BOK conducted the survey between October 29 and November 8, gathering opinions from 78 domestic and international experts, including those from financial institutions, research institutes, universities and overseas investment banks.
