A Ukrainian media outlet says about 500 North Korean soldiers were killed when Ukraine attacked Russia’s Kursk region with British Storm Shadow cruise missiles Wednesday.

RBC Ukraine issued the report Sunday, citing the military-oriented media outlet the Global Defense Corp.

The report said about 500 North Korean soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in the attack, adding that the wounded included two officers and a woman, and the woman may be an interpreter.

RBC Ukraine said the airstrikes also killed 18 Russians and wounded 33 others.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service said Sunday that it is looking into intelligence that there have been casualties among North Korean troops deployed to Russia.
