Rain or snow are in the forecast for most parts of the country until Thursday morning.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), rain, which started on the southernmost island of Jeju Monday afternoon, has since expanded nationwide.

Southern regions observed a relatively high level of precipitation for November, including 117-point-five millimeters on Jeju's Mount Halla and 58-point-five millimeters in the southeastern regions of Sacheon and Samcheonpo as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.

While the rain is projected to subside starting Tuesday, the capital region and the central Chungcheong provinces are likely to observe additional precipitation of up to 30 millimeters, and up to 40 millimeters in the eastern Gangwon region.

Rain and even snow in some regions are expected to return between Wednesday and Thursday.

Gangwon's inland and mountainous areas are forecast to record up to over 20 centimeters of snow through Thursday, up to around eight centimeters in the capital region, as well as the Chungcheong provinces.

Morning lows on Wednesday are predicted to dip to between minus four and six degrees Celsius, and for daytime highs to rise to between two and eleven degrees.
