Heavy snow in the Seoul metropolitan area disrupted air travel nationwide Wednesday.

According to the Korea Airports Corporation and the Incheon International Airport Corporation, 40 flights scheduled for Wednesday had been canceled as of 3 p.m.

At Incheon International Airport, 37 flights were canceled due to the weather, while 97 were delayed.

In the remaining 14 airports nationwide, 75 flights were canceled and 139 flights were delayed.

As the snow is expected to continue until Thursday morning, further cancellations and delays are likely.
