South Korea’s industry ministry and China’s commerce ministry held supply chain talks Thursday.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Thursday that at the meeting in Yancheng, eastern China, the two sides introduced their respective supply chain policies and agreed to continue cooperation to maintain stable supply chains to establish a predictable environment for bilateral investment.

The event was a follow-up step after President Yoon Suk Yeol and Chinese Premier Li Qiang met in May.

After Thursday’s meeting, the two countries held working-level talks to review the operation of their joint industrial clusters, including Saemangeum in South Korea and Yancheng in China.

The countries also hosted a joint business forum, which some 100 businesspeople and officials attended to exchange investment information and explore potential areas of cooperation.
