Heavy Snowfall Warnings Lifted for All Inland Regions

Heavy snowfall warnings were lifted for all inland regions in the country as of 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said the warnings that remained in effect for eight cities and counties in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province were eased to advisories as of 10:30 a.m.

Earlier, a warning was lifted for the entire Seoul region as of 10 a.m.

As of 11 a.m., a warning is only in place for the mountainous regions of Jeju Island.

Advisories are in effect in parts of the nation’s central region, including the western part of Gangwon Province and the northern part of North Gyeongsang Province, where snow is falling at around one centimeter per hour.

The weather agency forecast additional snowfall of up to five centimeters per hour in the nation’s central region and parts of its southern regions through Thursday morning.
