According to the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) and the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, Belousov wrapped up his North Korea trip on Saturday after visiting Liberation Tower and Mankyongdae in Pyongyang.
Being built in 1946, Liberation Tower commemorates the Soviet fallen soldiers who fought for the liberation of Korea from Japanese colonial rule.
Mankyongdae is the birthplace of North Korea's founding leader Kim Il-sung.
The Russian defense minister then departed Pyongyang, with North Korean Defense Minister No Kwang-chol and Director of the North Korean Army's General Political Bureau Jong Kyong-thaek seeing him off at Sunan Airport in Pyongyang.
The Russian defense chief arrived in Pyongyang last Friday and held talks with his North Korean counterpart and paid a visit to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The KCNA said that the talks between the defense chiefs discussed the issue of strengthening military unity and strategic and tactical cooperation between the armies of the two countries.
