Rain or snow is in the forecast on Saturday for the central region of South Chungcheong Province and the southwestern Jeolla provinces.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the mountainous areas of Jeju Island could see over ten centimeters of snow.

Meanwhile, forecasters predict up to seven centimeters in the western coastal areas of North Jeolla Province and inland regions in the south, and up to three centimeters in South Jeolla Province, South Chungcheong Province and parts of South Gyeongsang Province.

While sunny skies are expected throughout most parts of the country on Sunday, overcast skies are in the forecast for South Chungcheong Province and the Jeolla provinces, as well as for Jeju Island.

Morning lows are projected to range between minus nine and minus two degrees Celsius on Sunday, while daytime highs are to rise to between two and nine degrees.
