South Korean author Han Kang will receive the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature at a ceremony in Stockholm on Tuesday local time.

The awards ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall comes some two months after the Swedish Academy announced Han as the winner of the top prize in literature, making her the second South Korean ever to win a Nobel Prize and the first to attain the honor in literature.

At the ceremony, the Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry, economic sciences, and physiology or medicine will also receive their prizes.

The ceremony will be followed by a banquet with some 13-hundred guests, including the king and queen of Sweden as well as representatives of the Swedish government and parliament.

At the banquet, the laureates will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on receiving the prizes.

Park Ok-kyung and her husband, Anders Karlsson, who co-translated Han’s works into Swedish, have been invited to both the ceremony and the banquet.

KBS will air the ceremony live, starting at 12 a.m. Wednesday Korea Standard Time.
