South Korea and China have fine-tuned the agenda for the third round of working-group talks on North Korea's nuclear issue.
On Monday, Cho Tae-yong, head of the Foreign Ministry's task force on the North Korean nuclear issue, met with Ning Fukui, China's envoy on Korean Peninsula affairs.
Ning said it's time to hold detailed negotiations on the timeframe, preparation and agenda for the six-way nuclear talks since only two months remain before the opening of the fourth round of nuclear talks in September.
In Tokyo, the Asahi Shimbun newspaper said the Chinese envoy plans to visit North Korea to tap its opinion on opening working-level talks in mid-August.
The reports said Ning proposed to his American counterpart, Joseph DeTrani, to hold the next round of working-level talks on August 11th.
The United States, however, was reportedly hesitant over the proposed date as it overlaps with a major international conference in New York, organized by a civic group, for three days beginning August 9th.
