Stock Sell-Offs Push KOSPI below 2,400 during Intraday Trading

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) plunged nearly one-point-five percent during Friday’s trading session, below the two-thousand-400 mark.

As of 1:06 p.m., the KOSPI had fallen 35-point-79 points, or one-point-47 percent, from the previous day to two-thousand-399-point-82.

The index opened at two-thousand-429-point-63, down six-point-30 points or zero-point-26 percent from Thursday’s trading session, and has continued to decline.

Foreign investors sold a net 537-point-eight billion South Korean won, or over 370 million U.S. dollars, worth of stocks, while institutional investors sold 198-point-one billion won worth of stocks.

However, retail investors bought a net 663-point-four billion won worth of stocks.
