The standardized Korean language textbook for foreign workers preparing for the Employment Permit System Korean Language Proficiency Test(EPS-TOPIK) has been revised for the first time in eleven years.

The Human Resources Development Service of Korea(HRDK) announced on Monday that it completely revised the textbook after conducting surveys and in-depth interviews with foreign workers and employers to analyze job requirements in actual industrial settings.

The revised version of the book divides the learning categories into "Everyday Korean" and "Workplace Korean."

The updated textbooks will be distributed in 17 countries that send their workers under the Employment Permit System.

The book will also be available for free download on the HRDK's Korean Language Proficiency Test website(www.epstopik.hrdkorea.or.kr).
