The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials(CIO) probing the December martial law decree summoned President Yoon Suk Yeol for the third time.

According to a cooperative team involving the CIO, the police and the defense ministry on Thursday, it sent a request for the president to attend questioning at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The team sent the request to Yoon's official residence and the presidential office via express mail, while also sending an electronic document to the top office.

Yoon previously did not respond to the team's similar request for attendance at a questioning session on December 18, and again this past Wednesday.
