Heavy snowfall is in the forecast for the central Chungcheong and southwestern Jeolla regions on Friday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), snow or rain will begin falling along the western coast in South Chungcheong Province and western part of the Jeolla region from early hours of Friday.
The precipitation will likely expand to the inland areas of South Chungcheong, the rest of Jeolla in the afternoon, and toward the western coast of the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, North Chungcheong and western Gyeongsang region from Friday night.
As much as 20 centimeters of snow are expected in North Jeolla Province, up to ten centimeters in South Chungcheong and Gwangju and up to five centimeters in Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong Province and South Jeolla Province.
Up to 20 millimeters of rain are forecast in North Jeolla, and ten millimeters in the southern part of South Chungcheong and Gwangju, and less than five millimeters in Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong and South Jeolla.
Morning lows on Friday are expected to range between minus 13 and one degree Celsius, and daytime highs to rise to between minus one and seven degrees.
