Cold temperatures will persist with snow and rain expected in many areas, particularly in the Chungcheong and Honam regions, until Saturday.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) on Friday, snow falling in South Chungcheong and the Honam regions will extend tonight to the southwestern regions of Gyeonggi Province, North Chungcheong Province, and the western inland regions of Yeongnam, all the way down to Jeju Island.
The snow and rain will mostly let up by Saturday morning, but some areas in Jeju may experience continuous wet weather until Sunday morning.
Five to 20 centimeters or more of snow is forecast to fall in North Jeolla Province while parts of South Chungcheong Province, South Jeolla Province, and the mountain regions of Jeju get anywhere from three to ten centimeters.
Other areas in the Cheungcheong region, western parts of the Gyeongsang Provinces, Ulleung Island, and Dokdo may receive between one to five centimeters of snow.
Most other regions, including Seoul, will see generally clear weather over the weekend.
