Both the ruling and opposition camps have vowed to provide all the support they can with regard to the Muan plane crash. 

Ruling People Power Party acting chief Kweon Seong-dong made the pledge Sunday after a closed-door meeting with lawmakers on the parliamentary committees on the interior and transport, as he called on the government to do its best to cope with the situation. 

While expressing regret over the vacuum in key ministerial posts during the emergency, Kweon urged rival camps to stop their political wrangling and put all their efforts into addressing the latest crisis. 

Main opposition Democratic Party Chair Lee Jae-myung promised in a Facebook post on Sunday that his party will do its utmost to address the situation.

He also urged the government to mobilize its administrative capabilities and all available resources to swiftly address the crash, calling it an urgent situation where every minute counts.
