The upper cap on next year’s issuance of treasury bonds has been fixed at 197-point-six trillion won, or around 134 billion U.S. dollars.

According to the finance ministry on Monday, the cap is 39-point-two trillion won higher than this year's 158-point-four trillion won.

The cap on net issuance of 80 trillion won is also up by 30-point-one trillion won.

Twenty-seven to 30 percent will be issued during the first quarter, and between 55 and 60 percent during the first half of 2025.

While the principle of a balanced monthly issuance will be maintained, the amount will be adjusted flexibly in January and December to prevent a supply shock.
