North Korea is to send a delegation to a meeting of overseas Korean businessmen, which will be held in South Korea in October.

The World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations plans to hold its third convention in the southern resort island of Jeju from October 26th to 28th to discuss ways to promote trade among its members.

Organizers say five North Korean delegates will fly directly to Jeju on a chartered flight.

Organizers expect the three-day World Korean Business Convention will attract more than one thousand ethnic Korean businesspeople working in the United States and other countries.

Ahead of the Jeju convention, the federation will sponsor a trade fair for North Korean foods in Pyongyang from October 21st to 25th.
