Jeolla Province and Jeju to See Heavy Snow Thurs.

The Jeolla provinces and Jeju island are forecast to see heavy snow through Thursday. 

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Wednesday, more than 20 centimeters of snowfall is expected for Jeju’s mountainous areas through Thursday, over 15 centimeters in the Jeolla provinces and between three and ten centimeters in western coastal areas of South Chungcheong Province.

Some parts of the central region and inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province are also set to see snow from Thursday afternoon. 

Morning lows will range between minus 18 and minus four degrees Celsius on Thursday, including minus 12 in Seoul. 

Afternoon highs will range between minus three and four degrees. 

The cold snap is expected to maintain its grip on the nation until the weekend.
