The nation saw an increase in industrial output, consumption and investment in February.

According to Statistics Korea on Monday, the index for the nation’s overall industrial production came to 111-point-seven in February, up zero-point-six percent from a month earlier. 

Retail sales, a key indicator of consumption levels, gained one-and-a-half percent in February from a month earlier, while facility investment jumped 18-point-seven percent. 

The three indicators showed a turnaround after decreasing simultaneously in January. 

The composite coincident indicator, which measures the current phase of the business cycle, rose one-tenth of a point from a month earlier.

The composite leading indicator, which projects the outlook for the business cycle, also showed a zero-point-one-point rise.
