Twelve lawmakers of Japan's main opposition Democratic Party are due to arrive in Seoul Tuesday and remain until Thursday.

Upon their arrival, the Japanese lawmakers will meet with ruling Uri Party and main opposition Grand National Party legislators. They will also meet with National Assembly Chairman Kim One-ki and Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan Wednesday to seek ways to enhance ties between their respective parliaments and to discuss North Korea's nuclear issue.

Meanwhile, a group of American congressmen with an interest in issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula will also visit Seoul beginning Wednesday.
