Muslim Militants Threaten Seoul Gov't in Video Message

A group of Muslim militants has demanded the Seoul government to halt its troop dispatch to Iraq.

In a one-minute videotape aired on KBS television news Monday, the militants warned they would consider foreign soldiers as well as civilians arriving in Iraq as intruders and would show them no mercy.

The militants also advised the South Korean public to put pressure on the Seoul government to end what they called 'blind allegiance' to Washington.

KBS said the militants identified themselves as belonging to the army of Ansar al-Sunna, also known as the "black banner", which allegedly masterminded a terrorist bombing in February in Iraq's northern region of Irbil.
