After the videotaped threat of terrorist attacks, the Defense Ministry has issued an emergency warning to South Korean soldiers in Iraq.

The ministry ordered South Korean soldiers in the Iraqi region of Irbil to strengthen security measures and to prepare for possible terrorist attacks amid Seoul's ongoing deployment of additional troops to Iraq.

The ministry has also set out to closely scrutinize the contents of the videotape as well as the terrorist group that allegedly sent the taped message.
