The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) jumped 89-point-17 points, or two-point-96 percent, Tuesday to close at three-thousand-103-point-64.

This marks the first time in 45 months that the index has closed above the 3,100 mark.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose 16-point-14 points, or two-point-06 percent, to close at 800-point-93.
