China's newly appointed foreign ministry Asia Director Wu Da Wei is to take over the post of six-party chairman from fomer Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The Nihon Keizai on Saturday also quoted unidentified sources as saying South Korea Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Soo-hyuck and Japan's foreign ministry Director General Mitoji Yabunaka agreed in a recent meeting to cooperate closely in upcoming six-party talks to be held next month.
