Job growth fell back below 200-thousand in June after just one month.
According to Statistics Korea on Wednesday, the number of employed people stood at 29-point-09 million last month, up 183-thousand from the same month last year.
Previously, job growth exceeded 200-thousand for the first time in 13 months, posting 245-thousand in May.
The latest figures show jobs in the construction industry declined for the 14th consecutive month, with 97-thousand jobs lost in June.
The manufacturing industry shed 83-thousand jobs.
The employment rate for those in the 15 to 64 age range stood at 70-point-three percent last month, a zero-point-four percentage point increase from a year earlier, while the rate for those aged 15 to 29 slipped by one percentage point to 45-point-six percent.
The jobless rate dropped by zero-point-one percentage point on-year to two-point-eight percent.
