The South Korean blockbuster 'Taegukgi' will open Friday in 35 theaters in six cities across the United States, the highest number of American screens ever for a Korean film.

An epic film depicting the 1950-53 Korean War, "Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War" set domestic box office records earlier this year, attracting more than 11.6 million moviegoers out of the total South Korean population of 48 million.

'Taegukgi' will play in six U.S. cities - New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Honolulu.
