Exports in the information and communications technology(ICT) sector in July posted the highest figure on record for the month.

According to the ICT Ministry on Wednesday, ICT shipments totaled 22-point-19 billion U.S. dollars last month, up 14-point-five percent from a year earlier.

Last month’s exports marked the highest performance for any July.

Semiconductor exports jumped 31-point-four percent to 14-point-72 billion dollars last month, another record for July, while shipments of mobile phones decreased by 21-point-seven percent.

Exports to the United States grew eleven-point-nine percent on-year, while those to China fell by five-point-six percent.

ICT imports increased nine-point-eight percent on-year to 13-point-three billion dollars, resulting in a trade surplus of eight-point-87 billion dollars.
