Business confidence of the domestic market is expected to erode for the 4th straight month in September, as the nation's exports are further slowing down.
A business sentiment survey of 600 major South Korean companies in terms of sales reports the monthly business survey index or BSI for this month stands at 95.5.
If the BSI index, an indicator of companies' outlook for the next month, is below 100, it implies more companies are projecting a negative economic prospect.
An official at the Federation of Korean Industries, which released the survey, said amid high oil prices and slackening exports, no signs of recovery in the business sentiment is expected for the time being, urging the government to take immediate steps accordingly.
