KBS Launches International Satellite Broadcast

KBS World, the international satellite arm of the Korean Broadcasting System, has launched 24-hour broadcasting across the United States.

KBS World services will be dedicated to propagating Korean culture to overseas expatriates as well as to local viewers through its programs.

The American branch of the service, KBS America, is expected to attract some 2.3 million viewers through Korean cable television networks in five U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Seattle and Atlanta.
