International Human Rights Congress to Convene in Seoul

An international conference for human rights institutions will convene in Seoul from September 14th.

The Seventh International Conference for National Human Rights Institutions is being hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.

During the four-day conference, some 150 participants from some 70 countries will discuss ways to promote human rights under the theme of "Upholding Human Rights during Conflict and Countering Terrorism."

Since its first meeting in Paris, the conference has been held every two years in host cities in Europe, America, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
