Former first lady Kim Keon-hee has appeared before special counsel Min Joong-ki’s team to undergo additional questioning over various corruption allegations. 

A prison vehicle carrying Kim arrived at 9:36 a.m. Monday at Min’s office in central Seoul for the 10 a.m. session.

The special counsel team has questioned Kim on three occasions since she was placed in detention on August 12 over allegations related to stock manipulation, bribery offenses, and interfering in candidate nominations for elections.

Jeon Seong-bae, a shaman who allegedly took part in the bribery, arrived at Min’s office at 9:42 a.m. for his first interrogation since he was detained on Thursday last week.

Jeon is accused of receiving luxury gifts from the Unification Church in 2022 to deliver to Kim along with lobbying requests involving business projects, media acquisitions and the church’s global initiatives.
