Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper says the participants of the six-way nuclear talks are coordinating views to open a fresh round of nuclear discussions by the end of this month.
The paper said Tuesday that a senior official of China's ruling Communist Party will be dispatched to Pyongyang on Friday to confirm North Korea's position on opening the talks for three days from September 22.
The reports said an official announcement on the schedule of the fourth round of six-party nuclear discussions would be made shortly after the Chinese official gets a reply from the North on the matter.
In the previous round of nuclear discussions in Beijing last June, the two Koreas, the United States, China, Japan and Russia agreed to meet at the end of September for a new round of talks.
