Rain is falling sporadically across central areas and the Jeolla provinces, excluding the eastern coast of Gangwon.

Most of the country will see rain or showers on Tuesday, with up to 80 millimeters expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and more than 100 millimeters in some spots.

From late Monday night into early Tuesday, Seoul, South Chungcheong and western North Jeolla may face torrential downpours of 30 to 50 millimeters an hour.

While heat advisories have been lifted for much of the central region, humid nights with tropical lows will continue.

Morning lows will hover around 26 degrees in Seoul and Gwangju and 27 in Busan, with daytime highs ranging from 29 to 34 nationwide.

Waves in the East Sea’s open waters are forecast to reach two to three meters in height.
