U.S. President Donald Trump says Washington and Seoul will stick to the original trade agreement the two sides reached in principle last month.

Trump made the remarks on Monday at a proclamation signing ceremony after his summit with President Lee Jae Myung at the White House.

When asked about the trade deal, Trump said the two nations have a “deal done.”

Trump said the South Korean government had some problems with the agreement but the U.S. stuck to its guns, adding that Seoul will make the deal it agreed to make.

On July 30, Seoul and Washington agreed to reduce the U.S. reciprocal tariff rate from 25 percent to 15 percent on the condition that South Korea invest 350 billion dollars in the U.S. and purchase 100 billion dollars’ worth of American energy products.

Calling it a very big trade deal, Trump praised President Lee, saying Lee is a very good man and a very good representative of South Korea.
