More showers are expected Wednesday in Gangwon’s Yeongdong region, with isolated downpours in northern Chungbuk and inland Gyeongnam.

The Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) said, while rain temporarily lifted heat alerts across central Korea, it warned that advisories may return tomorrow over western regions as hot, humid air persists.

Morning lows will range from 20 Celsius to 25 Celsius, with Seoul, Gwangju and Daegu starting at 24 Celsius.

Daytime highs will reach 28 Celsius to 35 Celsius nationwide, including 32 Celsius in Seoul, Cheongju and Daejeon, though Yeongdong will feel cooler at around 30 Celsius.

Waves in the East Sea are forecast at two to three meters offshore.
