President Lee Jae Myung has returned home after visiting Japan and the United States from Saturday to Tuesday. 

The presidential jet carrying Lee and his entourage landed at Seoul Airport in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, early Thursday. 

President Lee and U.S. President Donald Trump held their first summit at the White House on Monday and reaffirmed the solid South Korea-U.S. alliance.

Lee wrapped up his U.S. trip with a visit to a South Korean shipyard in Philadelphia to highlight South Korea’s commitment to the revival of the U.S. shipbuilding industry.

Prior to the U.S. trip, Lee visited Japan for a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to discuss trilateral cooperation with the U.S. 

Lee is expected to meet with his aides to review the results of both trips and address pressing domestic issues.
