Authorities sealed off entry to 29 streams in Seoul on Monday morning, with a heavy rain alert issued for the entire city.

The Seoul city government said it is maintaining a Level One emergency response stance as of 4:10 a.m. and has mobilized 355 city officials and three-thousand-110 officials from the city’s 25 districts for its downpour response.

The city has enhanced CCTV monitoring at 100 underpasses and stationed personnel on site to maintain control.

Geumcheon District recorded the highest rainfall of 41-point-five millimeters, while Dobong District had the lowest, 12 millimeters, as of 7 a.m., according to the city.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said heavy rain clouds are still moving in from the West Sea and forecast intermittent showers into Monday night.
