The main opposition People Power Party(PPP) will file a complaint against the special counsel team investigating the December 3 martial law case over searches targeting party secretariat officials, as well as attempts to raid the floor leader’s office and administrative office.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, PPP chief spokesperson Park Sung-hoon said the party intends to file the complaint as soon as possible after the matter is reviewed by a special committee on defending justice and stopping dictatorship.

The main opposition claims the special team failed to present a warrant before conducting the search the previous day, refused a request to do so in the presence of a legal counsel, and forcibly seized mobile phones.

PPP floor leader Song Eon-seog, meanwhile, launched an indefinite sit-in along with some 20 party representatives in front of his office to block another raid attempt.
