S. Korea Beats US 2-0 in Football Friendly

South Korea secured a 2–0 victory over the United States in a friendly football match held in Harrison, New Jersey.

Led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, the South Korean national team triumphed Saturday at Sports Illustrated Stadium. 

Captain Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 18th minute and later assisted Lee Dong-gyeong's goal in the 43rd minute.

Jens Castrop, a German-born midfielder with a South Korean mother and German father, made his debut for South Korea, entering as a substitute in the 63rd minute.

The Taegeuk Warriors are scheduled to face Mexico in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday.
