North Ossetia authorities have reportedly refuted a recent report that an ethnic Korean was among the terrorists responsible for last week's catastrophic school siege in North Ossetia that left at least 335 people dead.

Authorities investigating the hostage tragedy reportedly said Wednesday that one of the terrorists who had been suspected of being an ethnic Korean was later found to have been of Central Asian ethnicity.

The South Korean Embassy in Moscow said it had recently confirmed the update on the matter through unofficial channels.
