The ruling Democratic Party(DP) criticized main opposition People Power Party(PPP) floor leader Song Eon-seog's address to the National Assembly on Wednesday, accusing him of disparaging the government's achievements and reform drive.

The ruling party said Song disregarded their efforts toward bipartisan dialogue and compromise, while inciting anti-democratic and anti-unity sentiments.

The DP slammed the PPP floor leader for not making a single remark on former President Yoon Suk Yeol's alleged insurrection through martial law or issuing a public apology.

DP leader Jung Chung-rae also criticized Song for not having the "right attitude" for bipartisan cooperation.

Jung said he still intends to have frank discussions with the opposition party through a joint consultative body to address economic and livelihood issues in order to create achievements that can be felt by the public.
