Hyundai Motor Company CEO José Muñoz has said the U.S. immigration raid at a Hyundai battery plant construction site last week will likely delay construction plans by at least two to three months.

Muñoz made the remarks to reporters in Detroit on Thursday, on the sidelines of an auto industry event, marking his first public comments since the raid.

According to Reuters and Bloomberg, Muñoz said the incident will cause a minimum startup delay of two to three months as all the workers want to go back to South Korea.

Muñoz reportedly said that specialized people are needed for the construction phase of the plants and many of the required skills and equipment are not available in the United States.

He said the company now needs to figure out how to fill those positions.
